GENERAL PURPOSELEAD SCREW NUTS

Ferrous manufactures General Purpose Lead Screw Nuts for use with trapezoidal lead screws in linear drive and positioning systems across a wide range of industrial equipment.

These nuts are produced as standard or custom components according to customer drawings or samples and are suitable for trapezoidal, STT, Acme, and other standard or custom thread profiles where anti-backlash or wear compensation is not required.

General Purpose Lead Screw Nuts are intended for applications where moderate axial clearance is acceptable, with a typical clearance range of 0.075 mm to 0.18 mm. For best performance, replacement of the screw and nut assembly is recommended once axial clearance approaches approximately one-quarter of the thread pitch.

Standard tolerance class: 7H, with higher precision tolerances available upon request.

Operating Temperature Range Typical operating limits:

• Metal nuts: 15°C to 350°C

• Plastic nuts: 15°C to 175°C

Actual allowable temperatures depend on load conditions, duty cycle, and lubrication.
